Jacques

Jacques Cousteau
Jaycob's second grade class put on the play of Jacques Cousteau. They did such a wonderful job, His Teacher Ms. Kenna is amazing! Jaycob was Jacques Cousteau. Every child had a few speaking parts and they have been working on it for over 3 months. Erek and I volunteered one morning to come in and help them with the costumes, it was really fun being so imaginative. They were so creative, they brainstormed so many ideas for each one of their costumes. There was all kinds of sea life from blow-fishes to turtles to seaweed to coral.

It was so fun to see them preform, the kids were so excited to show the play to all of the parents. They did the whole play in Spanish! Jaycob is speaking Spanish so well, I am amazed at how much they have learned. Even if we didn't understand a think that was said, it was still really fun to see all the children preform. Erek was sad to miss it since he was taking a final at that time but my parents, Isabella and me were all there.

 Ms. Kenna's Second Grade Class
A month earlier the class took a field trip to the Children's Theater downtown. I was able to go along, it was so fun to see a fun play, "The Tortoise and The Hare." It insipred the children to preform their play. Some of the actors from the Childrens Theater came to see the class play, which was so cool for the kids in the class.

At home we have a book called "Me TOO!" Which we have read a million times. The story is about 2 sisters, where the younger sister always wants to be like the bigger sister. When I saw Bella sitting by Jaycob after the play trying on his goggles I thought it was the cutest thing. It was just like the book. He is always so kind to her and tries to help her even when she is pulling something apart. She looks up to her older brothers so much and they are wonderful examples for her.
