Mud

I'm so glad it is finally Spring! The weather is starting to get so nice. The kids have been playing outside constantly, it has been such a nice break from the long cold winter. Last Saturday was no exception, it was a beautiful day. I sent the kids out to play while I laid down for a nap. Logan is famous for saying that there is "nothing to do." So my instructions were I don't care what you do, as long as it is out side. "You can do anything you want!" WOW. Two hours later I realized that was the wrong thing to say. They turned Grandma's flower beds in to mud pits full of tracks for their cars. Then they decided that they could make really cool marks by throwing the mud clods at the wall. When they were asked by Grandma what they were doing, they said "Our mom said we could do it." When I asked why they made such a mess, they said "Mom, you said we could do anything, as long as we were out side." - Words I have now learned, that I will not say again.

Some one once told me that when you want to kill your kids, Stop and take a Picture first!

Bike

Warm weather has final started to come. We bought Logan a new mountain bike, He had a hard time riding the BMX bike on the trails. He was so happy to have a new bike, so we all went for a family bike ride. We went to the Jordan Parkway to ride a little single track ride. The boys were so excited to go through the mud. Bella was just excited to be out riding with dad.

Jazz

Last weekend, I surprised Erek with tickets to the Utah Jazz Game. He has been so stressed and burned out with school (and he is only half way through the semester). I bought us some nice lower bowl tickets a few days before. I got a babysitter for the kids. Erek was working that night so I arranged with his co-worked to get him off early. And I did it all with out him even knowing! I was very proud of my self. It was just a matter of getting him out of work. I went there and acted like I was upset and that there was something wrong. I asked him to come out side and talk to me. He was so worried (I am a good actor!) He thought for sure something was wrong, he keep asking if the kids were alright and said that I looked like I was going to cry. It took me a few minutes to convince him that nothing was wrong and that I was kidnapping him and taking him way. He said I shouldn't have scared him like that but that it was a very good surprise. He was so excited once he calmed down.
The Game was so much fun. They were playing the Houston Rockets they were making so many amazing shots all night it was so fun, tons of 3 pointers. Erek is famous for picking on a player from the other team. Every time the team would come to our side of the floor he would yell out to this player. A few time the player would look up in the stands for him, it was pretty funny. He really gets into the game.
It was so nice to get his mind off school for just a few hours and have a nice date night!

Scouts

Jaycob earned his Bobcat Merit badge at our last pack meeting. I was called at the first of the year to be the Den Leader over the Wolf Cub Scouts. Wow has that been a challenge, I don't know anything about scouts. It has been really fun being his Den leader. Good job Jaycob!

Get-Away (no. 2)

After spending a couple nights in St. George we headed down to Las Vegas in hopes of even warmer weather. Even though the weather wasn't much warmer in Vegas, we still had a lot of fun. We did a little sight seeing and more just relaxing.

All the kids all snug in the bed watching cartoons. Bella would not sleep in her boring play pin she had to sleep where her brothers were on the big bed.

The kids playing on the playground. Hunting for acorn's.

Our condo had a free shuttle down to the strip so we took a ride so the kids could see the craziness that is Las Vegas. We got out and walked around a little bit and had a lot of fun.

We went to see the Lion habit at the MGM Grand. Too bad the Lions were just sleeping. But the kids thought it was cool to see them up close.

At the M&M factory
We saw the 3D M&M movie "I lost my M in Vegas." Very fun for the kids.

Just taking pictures outside on the streets.
We want to go back as soon as we can.
