little fingers and toes

March 29th, 2011
Ultrasound of our 4th baby
Is it a Boy or a girl.... we will find out around August 24th!

I am blown away by the miracle of life, God knows what he is doing.
Now, isn't technology amazing, to be able to see this little thing as it grows in my belly. It is an awesome thing. I love seeing the fingers and toes and being able to count them. I know this is going to be such a beautiful baby and I can't wait to meet him or her.

(I will have to post some of the pictures soon, for some reason I can't get the scanner to work so those are coming. )

Field Trip

A few weeks ago Jaycob's 3rd grade class went on a field trip to the Clarke Planetarium down at the Gateway. Since it was a Thursday and Erek is off school and work he signed up to be a chaperon. Jaycob was so excited to have Erek come with his class. He was counting down the days. Erek was in charge of 5 crazy excited boys for the whole adventure. But they sure had a blast from riding the bus to walking on the moon to seeing 2 different shows and eating lunch outside.

Erek was pretty tried by the end of the day but they all had a blast.

Bella the ballarina

Bella started dance classes earlier this month. She loves it! it was her reward for being potty trained... well mostly. I signed her up for dance through the Granite Education. Her class is at Taylorsville High School for an hour every week. She loves it so much she says she is going to class with all her New friends! There are about 7 girls in her class ages 3-4. The teacher is teaching them some serious ballet moves. Sometimes she is more of a creative dancer off doing her own thing but either way she loves it. Her class is going to do a recital next month, so that will be fun to see.

Blog slacker

Mann I have been such a black slacker lately. I always have intentions of getting things posted but somehow it just doesn't happen. Yes you could say that my life has been upside down and crazy and adding a pregnancy into the mix throws me through a loop but I have intentions of getting more on the ball and posting tons of pictures. so sorry that here is a bunch of posts all at once...

Tour de Cure

My Incredible husband Is taking on a incredible challenge, a hundred mile bike race.
Yes, riding is his passion and he loves it, every minute. He has done a few mountain bike races both under 20 mile long. But this is his newest crazy idea. He is going to ride in the Tour de Cure which is a race for a wonderful cause to help American Diabetes Association. I think he is crazy to take on such a challenge but this is how he is. Yes, he could have signed up for a 25 mile ride or even just 50 but no he wants to go for the big one. I am so proud of him for taking on this challenge and for being so excited to do it.

Since this is to help raise money to fight Diabetes he has set a fundraising goal of $500. He is already more then half way there. He is doing an amazing job!

This is what he has posted on his Tour de Cure web site Erek Winnett. You can click on this link to check out more information on this cause and to donate if you can, anything can help fight this disease.

I don't have diabetes however my father in law does. He's such an amazing person and I am personally riding for him. He has always been there for me whenever I needed him and riding my bike to support such a worthy cause / person is the least I can do. I also work at Smiths Pharmacy. I have many wonderful customers that I see each day and many of them also have diabetes. The cost of purchasing Insulin / Medication and diabetic supplies is very high especially if you don't have insurance that will cover the costs. Then after spending all their money on these supplies they have to manage their condition effectively.

I will be putting all my donors names (or the names of those they are donating for) an a pair of arm sleeves that I will be riding the entire course with. Just let me know the names of those you want me to put on the sleeves.

Erek Winnett

I am so proud of you sweetie for taking on such a challenge and for wanting to ride for my dad. That means the world to me. Good Luck babe!
