Blue Lake

For the 24th of July, we make it a family tradition to get back to our pioneer ancestors, live off the land, and rough it for a few days like they did. OK, so maybe not exactly like they did back in the 1800's. We bring a few modern conveniences with us. Like our Trailer, Jeeps, 4 wheelers, camera's, DVD players and so forth. But we have a blast being out with nature.
It's an annual event where most all of my family came for 4 days camping up on Skyline drive. Along with some extended family and a few neighbors from growing up. We had a great time Fishing, riding and relaxing in the summer weather.
Izzy did a great job adjusting to life in the mountains. She loves to be outside so she was in heaven. Thank heavens for our very old but loved pop up trailer, it makes nap and bed time with kids so much easier.
Jaycob loves riding on Grandpas 4 wheelers. Their favorite part was going through the mud puddles!
Check out Erek's lovely legs, he did that to himself trying to make up for totally splashing me with mud from head to toe with the Jeep and while I was on a 4 wheeler. Thanks babe, but I don't know if it is the same!!!
