Mudfest
This year Erek and Jaycob have signed up with the Utah Mountain Biking Team and will be racing throughout the summer. They plan on only racing about 3 or 4 times this year. They were really excited to race. The first race was at Five Mile Pass it is out west of Lehi, pretty far out there. We drove down Friday afternoon to give Erek a chance to try the course. It was a cold day but it wasn't too bad. The Kids loved to play in the dirt so I just hung out with them while Erek rode the 11 mile loop.

After an hour rain delay it started to clear up just a bit. Let the races begin. First was the kids race Jaycob competed in the 9 & under category. He was really excited! You couldn't wipe that smile off his face.
Erek at the starting Line. He competed in the Beginning Men 30-39. The race ended up only being about 4 miles, not the 11 he did the day before. Erek said it was pretty rough, so much mud that it made it really slippery.

If you look close you can see the mud splatters on his face. Erek did good and had lots of fun. We were able to meet a lot of really nice people on the team. It was really a fun day.
